Leo has eaten every fish in the tank in the past 3 days which include 1 (5 inch) gold fish, a blackmoor gold fish & tore off the fins of another gold fish.

& lately when i removed him out of the tank, he just jumped out of my hands/tears my skin off until he's let loose & is no more staying in the hands as he used to

Does him getting aggressive has anything to do with eating the fishes?

All i knew, he was vegetarian until i fed him some live worms...

He's nearly 8 inches in diameter & weighs more than a kilo, he's 1 year & 8 months old.

That is a LOT of protein, turtles should have a lot of veggies in there diet too

. How big is it just measuring the shell from front to back, not including the curve?

I think hunting fish and trying to escape from being held is pretty normal...

He's 9 inch in length, not including the curve, head & tail.
what sort of the veggies can i feed him? suggestions plz

That's a big turtle... you sure it's a he?

Seems mighty big for a turtle that age... you may have been overfeeding a little :oops:

I would read this whole section, and possibly consider Jello shots, recipe is a "sticky" in the feeding and nutrition section.

Am sorry he's 7 inch but not 9 inch. I have just measured him.

& yes, its a he. I did compare with the pictures & the qualities from this website.

Do u still think he's over sized for his age?

Well I am not an expert! I only have one turtle it's a male, I've had them for about two years and he's maybe 5 inches long. Does he have any pyramiding on his shell? Either way veggies are a great idea and turtle Jell-O shots are awesome!

No pyramiding i have seen on his shell. Hey mine's bigger in size

& don't mind me asking, what is a jello shot? I have never heard of it nor do i think they are available in india.

& yeah, I'd ask my mother to feed him less & feed veggies mostly
