Does anyone know specifically what kind of painted turtles the chain stores sell?

Different species of painted in different areas. Such as in Pennsylvania they would have to either be western or southern painted since midland and eastern painted are illegal to sell here since they are native species. What state are you located in?

Then most likely they are western painted turtles that they are selling.

What kind do u think they sale in phoenix Arizona? I see them all the time. Been wanting to get one for a while.
