General Care Discussion :: turtles fighting?

I have two turtles that seem to get along but just now i saw them facing each other and point their claws at each other n shake them back and forth. Are they fighting

It's just fluttering. How big are they? How big is the tank? If one of them is a male, you'll likely have to separate sooner or later.

This is like a pre fight warning that turtles will do to eachother when young. If its in older turtles it can also mean mating. But in most cases its cuz one turtle got too close to another turtles space at the time.

Mine do that all the time. I figured its time to upgrade to a larger tank. I also have to provide 2 basking areas now because Miss chubby wont let Miss skinny bask! Bully! lol

They are each 2 inches long and its a 20 gallon tank. they did it once i fed them n they stopped and now are using each other to hold them selves up while they breathe. They have always been together n they seem to get along all the time
