Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I have 3 baby RES (I'm guessing maybe 2-3 months old, they are about 1 and 1/2 -2 inches long... They wont be still enough for me to measure)

Is there a kind of fish to put in that are ok if they decide to eat them?

For turtles under a year old I believe the best food is commercial turtle pellets. They have the proper amounts of protein and other nutrients. Once the turtles are a year old or so you can expand on their diet, there are lots of good things you can feed and lots of not so good things that should be avoided.

There is a TON of info on this site. Spend some time looking around and reading and you'll be impressed I'm sure. Take a look at the "Feeding and Nutrition" board, lots of good info in there.

Good luck.

You can put either Rosy Red Minnows or Guppies in with them. I would only add a few at first, but it is amazing how quickly they become hunters. I saw my little hatchling eat a minnow whole when she was about 1.5 inches. It was amazing. They should be an occasional treat though. A good quality pellet and veggies and greens are the best staples. But is it ever fun to watch the chase.

Make sure you have a big enough enclosure to handle the bio load of 3 turtles and fish before you add them. Turtles should have 10 gallons of water per inch of shell. So you should already have them in at least 40 gallons. That doesn't leave any room for growth though and at that size they are babies and will grow quick.
