Ok Michelangelo's day glo reptile light burnt out. So I dug around the cupboards and found another 100 watt light bulb. Just your regular ol house hold one and put it in.

That is ok right?

Plus it looks a lot smaller compared to the Day Glo light. Should it be moved closer then or not? I left the lights in the same position so hopefully it won't change things too much. I just want to make sure my little guy can bask tonight.

Be sure to take the temperature of the basking area with the new bulb. You may have to adjust the lights further away or closer depending on the temperature. :)

The lightbulb is fine for heat. Just check the temp to be sure it's in a good range (88-90F).

Yep it's good. Better actually. It's right at 90.
