Just depends, some days mine feels warm, some days cold. It also depends on your body temperature too!

if your water temp is that high, then you need to turn down the heater. Your water temp should be around 75-78. The temp you mentioned sounds more like a basking temp.

Ok, in one post you say it's 78.5 and now it's 89-90? Is one the water temp and the other the basking temp?? If the 89-90 is the water temp you really need to get it back down to around 78. The reason it feels so cold is because a human's body temp is 98.6 .. 20 degrees warmer than the turtle water. Just trust the thermometer and leave it at 78. :)

I wasn't too sure if you are talking about the water temp or basking temp. 78 is good for the water temp, 90 is good for the basking area.

Use another thermometer if you aren't sure. Also, do you have a filter? Filters are great at circulating the tank water and helping the temperature distribute.
