Sorry for any confusion, this is what sweet potatoes look here:


Red leaf lettuce is similar to green leaf and romaine lettuce, all of which are good to use.

As Steve said the other lettuces are good to use mine prefers red leaf though. I spend so much time in the fresh produce isle buying new things for him to try just for him to refuse. If you buy the anacharis online get a lot of it and stick it in a bucket with some tank water near a window for sun and grow it. It grows like a weed. If you go wading through ponds for duckweed look for the anacharis too it is invasive and you might find some for free. Wash and inspect the plants carefully before you put them in your tank. You don't want unexpected visitors.

so is this potato more recommended over the white potato ?

Yes but it's not a necessary part of the diet. Dandelion leaves are also recommended if you can't find the lettuce.
