General Care Discussion :: Hose water for baby pool?

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

HI! I bought a baby pool for Clover yesterday so that I can take her outside and she can stay in one area. I use the water from the hose, only filling the pool about 3 inches. Is that ok for her? I don't have any dechlorinator left and can't go to the store for a while. Also, she tries to get out and slides back down the side. It looks like she might hurt her neck by doing this. Thank you all :3

Chlorine will evaporate after a few hours. Can you post a pic? I doubt she will hurt her neck. Do you go outside and supervise? How big is she?

Sorry, camera is broken, but she is about 5 inches and is 3 years old. I constantly supervise her when she is out of the tank. how many hours do you think i should wait?

I love taking her outside. she has been in her pool since 12:00, swimming around. CLover is 3 and 5 inches. Do you know how to treat shell fungus? i think she has some.

Chlorine does not hurt turtles unless its in HUGE amounts which is would not be in tap water.

it does kill fish in small amounts tho.
