General Care Discussion :: screen around the heater?

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

My vet said it is a good idea to put a screen of some sort around the water heater because the turtle can sit onit and burn itself. Has anyone every had a problem with their turtle getting hurt from the underwater heater and if you do have a screen or somehting around your turtle what did you use?
