My turtle, Moon is eating it's basking area. And he just starting today.
The basking area is made out of foam.
What should i do ?

Your going to have to get a different basking area. This seems like a pretty popular subject on this forums. Theres been a couple of members here that have had the same issue. I'd recommend this ramp http://www.petmountain.com/show_product/11442-503833 They have it in small, med, and large sizes. It's what I have for my RES, I have the large one and it's still holding her without issue, she's 5-6 inches. It also has a ramp that extends into the water, where she likes to sleep at night.

Yeah that basking area is a pain. It wont hold the turtles weight in a few years any way

Glad I never got a foam basking area. Seems they all start eating them at some time.

some cuttlebone might divert his attention until you get a new dock, Kaya was chewing on her wooden basking dock unitl i got her some cuttlebone but she leaves it alone now

If your turtle is an aggressive biter, try some cork bark. It's natural and safe for your turtle.
