General Care Discussion :: Can a res get worms from rosey reds?

I bought rosey reds for the first time in years. They seem healthy and swim around, but in their feeder tank, theres little worm like things, but i feel like it is prolly poop. Either way, i think i am not going to feed my res the rest of them. it has had 4. what kind of worms could my res get from them? could it actually be given a worm that sticks around?

i didnt get them from a petsmart or petco. i got them from a local independent aquarium store.
