General Care Discussion :: Mineral deposits or fungus

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I have 4 red eared sliders and 3 of them are perfectly healthy. The largest has not been basking and thus not absorbing the proper UVB. She has developed white spots, which look like shedding or mineral deposits all over the shell on on her belly. I tried scrubbing it off with a toothbrush and white vinegar but it didn't help. 3x week, I add a multi vitamin powder to their food. Her appetite is fine and she may be eating too much protein. Everything else on her looks good. Does anyone have any idea on what this could be?

125 gallon tank with a fluval u4 and 404. 3 basking lights and areas. Ther are 3 UVB bulbs, 2 - 48", 1- 30".
There is also a 4" map and yellow belly.

The picture is not too clear, but it looks like fungus.
