I noticed that my turtle is not basking as much lately. WHen i got her about a month ago every time i walked into the room she was basking now i never catch her up there. Is this something i am doing? i cant imagine what i have not changed anything. Or is this just the way these turtles act. The bigger one os 2" and had stopped basking as much a few days ago. Yesterday i got another one that is 1 1/2" and he is basking all the time now. Just curious on why this is?

It could be just the normal RES behavior of not liking people around when they are basking also, but check the temps to make sure there's about a 10 degree difference between it and the water temp.

You said you got another turtle, by any chance have you quarantined the new turtle in case of disease/parasites?

Other than not basking, is he displaying any other unusual behavior? Is he eating well and active in the water?
