Im not sure where you live, but of all the painted turtles southern painted turtles do not hibernate and require warmer temps then other painteds. Keep that in mind.

Ok, thanks. I'm in Little Rock, AR, where they are native. I like the westerns the best followed by the southern, so I may actually go with the westerns.
