I just want to know how many hours should I leave the UVB and basking light on in a day. I have two RES. How long is the normal daily basking time for them?

People do many different things with this. Some follow the natural sun, some do 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Some use timers. Some like me turn the tank lights on when I get up and off when I go to sleep. Pick what works for you.

I let my turtle decide I left it on for 3 days straight to se when he likes to bask on avrage and then went with that. A lot of things will affect when they bask dependn on the activity in the room their tank is in and if its near a window producing natural sunlight. You should just find out the hours of te day you turtle basks the most and make sure the light is on then as long as its on half the day they are bond to soak up as much as they need while its on they will learn the lights routine no matter what tho
