General Care Discussion :: Is this normal behavior?

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I used to have my tank setup in my room. Luffy and Ninja loved it there, they would bask almost all day and jump down when I come in. Which is fine, because they're sliders and all.

Yesterday I had to move the tank outside to the living room, and I believe it's where it will be put from now on. Now my res don't come up the basking area to dry off anymore. I think this is normal for the meantime, but I want to know from you guys. Have you ever moved your tank from a usually calm room to the living room before? And is it normal not for them to bask for the first few days/weeks?

Thanks ahead.

They'll have to adjust. They have to make sure their new place is non threatening. They'll start basking again.

And cover the sides for added privacy. My RES eventually got used to me walking past them but it does take some time.
