General Care Discussion :: Albino Red Eared Slider

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Mon Mar 05, 2012 7:06 am   Albino Red Eared Slider

Hey guys, I am new to this forum. Not sure whether this is a stupid question but I am curious as to whether there are any differences between the husbandry requirements of albino sliders and the regular ones?

Is it ok to set up the same lighting and heating requirements as those required by normal sliders or do they require special kind of set up?

Thank you all for your kind help!

General care is the same, though hatchling albinos don't have very good vision. You'll have to spend a little more time feeding them during this stage.

Usually you want a weaker UVB rating as well to what I hear, since there skin absorbs more.
