Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I'm not sure if my turtles are male or female one is still to small to tell and last time they were at the vet the other was also still to small to tell but the doc guessed my eldest was a male. Now that turtley is a hit larger based on the claws I'm starting to think possibly female.
so mu question is this. If turtley is a girl at what size should I start being prepared for her to have eggs? I already know how I will build a nesting box if I need to but when should I do it. Also lets say turtley is a girl and Edgar is a boy at what size/age would they start trying to mate?

Note:Edgar is the smaller/younger of the 2 turtles
also if they are both boys if they show no signs of agression should I still separate them when they get bigger? And is it possible they will be okay together since they have been living together for a long time?

They can be active after 2 or 3 years. Aggression can happen anytime, so you always need to be prepared.

I am I already have an extra tank, filter, and lighting all I will have to do is buy/build another basking area if the problem arises.
So far no worries. The oldest is only just a year old so I got time then. Thanks Steve
