Do you need to wash a baby turtle? I currently am not using a filter since I only have 2-3 inches of water in his tank (He was sick and I was scared that he might not be able to swim well.) .I clean it out every other day though. Maybe every 3 days if I am feeling too lazy. :P Every time I clean his tank I rub him down with a Qtip and rinse him under warm water. Is there a kind of soap that should be used? And should I be using some thing like a soft tooth brush? And how often should I clean his shell?

Theres no turtle soap or turtle mom with a toothbrush in nature. Turtles are cold blooded reptiles that move to different temperature zones to regulate body temperature. While a warm rinse feels good to you, your turtle may think otherwise. You need not clean his shell or scrub him with a toothbrush unless there's something like hard water stains on the shell. Even then you must be very careful.

Are you applying the turtle wax regularly?

No. I was never aware of a turtle wax. But thank you.

I was kidding about the turtle wax. Turtle Wax is an age old product for your car. Please don't wax your turtle.
