Hello all,
Will a female get along with other females and males that it has never seen before how do they interact.

We have a egg laying female red eared slider that were giving away to a RES friend owner, just wondering if they get along, she has been a solo RES since we had her 6 to 8 or more years ago. Will she like the company or is it hit and miss maybe yes maybe not?

He has a pool, don't know if it's regular chlorine or a newer salt water kind, I've been told salt water pools are not really salt water.

If there are any males in the equation, fighting/harassment is almost a certainty. Females are not always the aggressor, but can be. RES are generally aggressive compared to other turtles.

How big is the pool? I would find out more about their setup first.

It is a pool for people so gigantic compared to the 100 gal plastic pond I have now, I know when we put her in the pool she doesn't want to come out. Why would she right it would be like living in a closet or a mansion.
I understand there is basking area and they can get out of the pool to cruse the yard area. He has 2 RES turtles both females I think smaller ones, our female is I'm guessing is a good 7 inches to 9" haven't measured her in a while.
