General Care Discussion :: Quacking noise

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

So one of my two turtles was basking, when he stuck out his head and made a sort of quacking sound, he did it only a few times then stopped, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some serious, life-threatening thing. I've been looking all over the internet and these forums and it doesn't seem like a really big deal, but can you blame me for wanting to be 100% certain? So, yes, if you have an insight on the matter, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

It (might also be a chirping or croaking sound) can happen occasionally and hasn't to my knowledge been a symptom of anything, though you do want to double check water and basking temps. As always, keep any eye out for any other symptoms.

my turtle makes a clicking sound. Very randomly maybe once a week. Turtles make strange noises, some even MEOW, but i have never actually heard it.
