Hi all,

Toku is doing good, he is about 5 in. now. I do have a question about nail size. For those of you with males how long do their front claws get? I've seen pics of males and their claws, but Toku's front claws look short compared to other male's claws. I know Toku is a male, his size and tail are indicators of he gender. I'm just curious about the front claws. Do they grow slowly and won't come out till he is older? Here is a pic of him eating green leaf lettuce;

I think they'll continually grow. I'll try to measure my RES tomorrow... though his nails have re-grown from an accident a few years ago.

ok, thanks Steve. I'm just curious is all, I'm trying to compare to other RES males.

My RES is about 5.75" and his longest claw is almost .75" long. His claws, especially on the back feet are very sharp. Hope that helps!

Nice, thanks Steve! If you don't mind, how old is your 5.75" RES?

Almost 10 years I think. He's had a history of health problems and just bad luck, so I wouldn't use him as a main reference.
