Tell me the time has come or tell me what to do to make things right.....
Have had my turtle forever since I rescued him.....
Fit in my hand, not I can barely extend my fingers to catch him.......
75 Gallon tank.....the man size fluval......the dual light set-up with the different bulbs and or basking.......
Heres the rub,,,,,
Always was a hard eater from the beginning.......
It's to the point now, eating beefhearts, 4 to 5 a day, frozen sliced into bite size cubes, he tears them up......if they're not sliced, i let them thaw out some to make them soft, and chewy for him, he won't eat them and half-heartedly spits them out making a huge messo......I purchased the green vegetable type food like the beefhearts, he wont even taste them?????
If I purchase goldfish, he will only eat them if they are fresh alive, in the past he would eat the frozen leftovers, buts he's not doing that anymore? Spoiled you say, I tried the thaw out trick on the goldfish, he has no interest in eating them.
Stays under water all day, within 1 to 2 minutes of turning off the light, he drags himself up on the dock to dry off. He will not come out of the water during the day when the lights are on?????
Is he bored in his habitat and needs to be released???
The vet would say what???
Should I re-invest in a bigger bowl?
Should I starve him??? (which I can't do)
Should I move him outside next spring???
Thanks for the vent and I hope for inspiration...
