General Care Discussion :: fungus? poor taro

Just realized this morning.
4 weird spots. Are they fungus?
Taro rarely bask. He usually only bask from a nearby plant so like half body only
Rarely completely dry.

Please help and advise :'(

i observe it again today after turtle lunch time. 2 and 3 kind of flaky, shedding?

It doesn't look like typical shedding. Is he basking regularly?

Everyday. But not as much as the others. Max prolly 1-2hrs.
He is really timid.

What does it look like underneath #3? Is it black, white or green?

i really need to find time to take a look during day time. everyday work late nowadays :'(. will get back on this in the weekend.
Btw is it ok to try to lift a half peeled scutes?

Try to not to lift any scute, especially when it's only partial shedding or shedding abnormally.

hi steve, a bit hard to check as it doesn't really liftable.
i would kinda say it looks like color of his shell rather darkish.
which one i shoud be worried actually?

in general his shell is like plasticky. like laminated with transparent matter.
i have seen pics of scutes comes off but never seen it shedding like transparent skin.

can we use nail clipper to cut?

No nail clipper. I would consider doing some shell cleaning and dry docking if he's not basking much.

Ok will do that more. The shell doesnt seem to smell and the lamination just feel like a glass coating on his shell. Nothing mushy and still hard. Maybe ok i guess.
