Hello there my name is George and I am new to turtle talk forums.. I recently bought 3 hatchling res from turtleshack [not reputable].com. My res have not eating since I got them. I am concern also one of them has a brown pimple like ball on the top of his neck and his left eye is alittle swallon. I contacted turtle shack and they told me to apply betadine to the pimple on his neck and zoo med turtle eye drops for his eyes. The eye seems to have gotten better but the pimple item is about the same. two of my res have eaten maybe once or twice I have tired blood worms frozen shrimps turtle pellets and romaine lettuce nothing seems to draw there attention. They are always basking hardly in the water unless I put them in there. the guys at turtleshack [not reputable] also told me to increase my water temps to 82-85 since there are hatchling res so I did and no difference. Heres the specs to my setup.. 20 gallon long tank screen top mesh aqueon 100 watt heater and a aqueon quiteflow at-40 internaly filter. also have a uvb light and a daylight bulb above the basking area. the lights are on a set timer and turn off at 10pm and on at 7am.

Hi George, how long have you had them? Can you post a picture of the pimple? I'd concentrate on getting them to eat first, even if its treats. Have you tried live prey like feeder fish?

I have tried frozen shrimp frozen blood worms turtle baby pellets dried shrimp romanine lettuce none draw there attention. being that they are so tiny hatchling do you think they would eat feeder fish? had them for 9 days. here the pictures

I'm not an expert but I'd recommend 80 farenheit on the water (as ATP caresheet says), and be sure that all the tank has 80 F everywhere because some tanks have very slow water circulation and there are some spots with lower temps.
What is the basking temperature? I have a hatchling too (1.4 inches shell) and at basking temp I got 90 farenheit and he is doing very well. Also I turn the lights of at 8 pm and turn them on at 7am.

Water is at 84f right now and basking is around 95 ten degree difference as recommended.. my tank thermometer is located on the opposite side of the water heater. so I know the temps are good.. now one of them is with his mouth open when hes basking... I think he is getting ri... ughhh got no luck..

Open mouth in basking spot is an RI symptom :/, you should take your hatchlings to the vet before it's too late.

If it's an open sore I'd dry dock him for a few days and apply some Betadine and Neosporin.

Today the one that was basking with his mouth opened died .. i tried to revive him but no luck.. the other two are still alive but im scared they will die too. Ive read alot of bad stuff about turtleshack [not reputable].com and it seems true they ship sick dying turtles. Did i do anything wrong? is my setup good? Are my temps good water 78-82 basking 90-97? 20 gal tank with 9gals of water... 12hrs uvb and basking light.. 12 hrs red night light. .. tetra i20whisper pump filter aqueon 100watt heater.. no gravel.

Sorry for your loss. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with them... though not eating is a serious symptom and can lead to other issues.

From the general description, it sounds OK to me.
