If I recall correctly you have a very small tank and are using a rather powerful filter. I believe I offered a few suggestions in another post regarding placing something over the intake part of the filter. Putting a piece of an old stocking over it or a piece of sponge (chemical free) may help.

They also sell caps that go over filter tubes for exactly that purpose.
We have them at True Value...but if you don't have one in your town maybe you should go looking?

If I had to guess I'd say this is probably harmful to your turtles...

Now that I think about it, how the heck is your turtle getting stuck on the intake of the filter? There is a basket sort of thing on the bottom of the tube are you not using that part?

Yea there is a basket mesh kinda thing but they still get ther hind legs or tail stuck in it but everytime i seen them get stuck they have enough strength to swim away....i think i will try what you suggested and see how that works

You can try what they call a pre-filter. It's basically a sponge that covers the intake tube. However, you'll probably have to clean it regularly. You may also try create some sort of obstruction to keep your turts away from it.
