my black knob sawback just keeps moving up and down, up and down, up and down he will do that for a really long time and never stop. When he does stop its to sleep, bask, or eat. Is this a meaning of something like maybe he needs more swimming room???

Hes still a hatchling in a 40 gallon wide aquarium i use a fluval 3 plus and the water temp is at about 80 and the baskign area is at about 90

any help is appreciated

Could he be trying to get at something without realizing the glass is there? perhaps the food can?

my turts do that all the time it is pretty normal. are you turts in a clear container.
