Just discovered a nest in my backyard and upon further digging now have 10 baby RES! Holy Crap! I couldn't believe how many were packed into this tight hole. We gave away our one big female RES to a friend late last year and didn't expect to see anymore babies...ya right! We now have an indoor tank filled with new life and we really have no desire to keep all of these babies. Does anyone have any experience with selling or giving these turtles away. I've given away a few in the past to friends who have backyard ponds, but I have never had to deal with this many before. I live in the Las Vegas, NV area if anyone has any thoughts or ideas.

Really tough to give away RES, but wow good job on the rescue! Usually a good story helps with re-homing. Being able to give guidance or family or friends who take them is also helpful.

I think you'd have more takers with hatchlings. Good luck and keep us updated!
