General Care Discussion :: Acting out?

Raphael has started acting out toward me. She will nip at me, but not my cousin. Last night i was holding her while I was doing a tank cleaning like normal. She was fighting me trying to get out of my hands and finally she stopped so I thought she calmed, but instead she peed on me. Has anyone experienced this? The only thing that has changed since i got her is im going back to school at night and during the day i work so im not home as early as i was for the first two months i had her. Could she just be acting out?

Maybe you were holding her too long? It's more normal for them to "act out" when being held.

That's interesting. Like I said she's never done the biting or the peeing until just recently

Maybe she was having a bad day. has there been any other behavior changes?

No other than the biting I just tell her no and stop but idk what else to do

I think we sometimes forget that they are wild animals.

This is very true maybe its just a mood shes going through
