can someone tell me what this is ? He basks normal eats pellets and veggies and seems pretty healthy swims normal . Everything's normal about him but this .-.

Some of looks like irregular shedding, but also looks infected and the pitting is deeper than what I would like to see. How long has it been like this?

Not long . Someone told me looks like she'll Rot and told me how to treat it . I cleaned the tank spotless when my dbt got sick even the filter . But Tampa Bay Turtle Fan said it looked like she'll Rot and explained about the Betadine or the iodine to dilute it and then soak him for a few and dry dock him for an hour or so before rinsing him and returning him back to the tank and repeat every 4-5 days .

Agreed Steve, this is exactly what I seen as well and that is why I recommended the betadine or the iodine soaks as well as a soft bristled tooth brush or baby tooth brush due to the visual irregular shedding as well. She is 3 hours from a vet and does not have the income at the moment for one. I told her to stay away from iodosorb cream or gel (iodine based cream) or any cream or gel to prevent from trapping in a infection that can go into its bloodstream.

The normal iodine or betadine rinses and gentle brushes should kill bacteria while manages the exudate, and debride the pitting at the same time. I also mentioned every 4 days for 3 weeks per turtle that would give up to 5 treatments just for the reason stemming from the death of her other turtle. Precautionary measures more so if anything that is not harmful at all.

Thank you very much Steve and it is much appreciated on the compliment coming from your expertise and the things I am learning from you also to enhance my knowledge even further which I am very grateful for. Yes I could also see dry docking to be extended based on circumstances and i any further indications on the infection spreading further.

Turtle girl and I exchanged cell phone numbers as well to send photos of the turtles progress and general communication over text messages. If I see anything that indicates anything more Steve on the turtles, I will submit turtle photos to you for a second review and opinion over private message. As you can tell, turtle girl and I have somewhat of a good friendship yet she abuses me on the forums at times with her virtual kicks and slaps. Do you have your virtual police steve that can put her in her place once in awhile? My halo HAD horns aha xD but no no no ! I'm the victim here lol . And my kicks and slaps can be felt from hundreds of miles away ! But yes I'm looking to get the iodine when my boyfriend gets paid Friday I feel like that's SO far away /.\ but I managed to find a big bottle of iodine from walgreens for $12.97 so yeaaa just Friday needs to hurry up . Lol

How are you sure it's not an active infection? If it's progressed quickly, then it is very aggressive and requires equally aggressive treatment. While I prefer out of tank treatments, you might want to research in tank ones - like adding medication to the water. Acriflavine, Maracyn, and MarOxy are supposed to be good, though read up on their uses with turtles.
