General Care Discussion :: Egg laying??

So since i have a female RES, but without a male i know they can still lay infertile eggs. I heard if the eggs stay in her for too long it could kill her so now im freaking out because:
-How do i know if/when she has eggs in her
-Where will she even lay them
-What is a lay box
-How do you make a lay box
-Where do you put the lay box??!?!
Im a little embarrassed tbh

I'd just read up on it... and know what signs to look for. Nesting boxes for RES don't usually work, and outdoor area is usually best.
