How fast are turtle supposed to grow. I got mine from a fair and is definetly small. We've had the turtle for about a year now and really have seen no increase in size, while others that got a turtle the same time have seen a big increasein size. Is this normal?

Amount of growth is based on the individual genes of the turtle, as well as environment that it is being raised in and the type and amount of food.

What kind of set up do you have and what are you feeding it, and how often.

General rate of growth should be an inch a year, but could be more the first year.

If you got the turtle as a hatchling it should have made significant growth if taken care of properly. What is your setup like, where do you live etc. By the end of the first year a hatchling should be some where around 3" give or take a bit for genetics and other factors. After that an inch a year is good .. slow and steady :)
