Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I find Rush sometimes swimming frantically against the glass, sometimes bonking his nose and stuff... is this normal? Also, how often is a turtle supposed to poo? I don't see much stool in the tank whenever I go out to clean it. Is this normal? I appreciate the help! Thanks!

this frantic swimming could be something a lot of turtles do when they see you....its called begging for food. lol.

There's also a good chance he's eating his feces. Gross but harmless. Either that or the filter got it.

How old is Rush, and what is the gender? This is nesting season, and it could be a sign of wanting out of the tank to nest. If it's a boy, then I guess that possibility is a no go, lol.

Rush is three years old, and she/he's not big enough to know the gender quite yet. Besides, Rush swims againts the glass all year round. xD

Just checking! You never know. lol. Mine like to go wild here and there and bump the glass too. Right now I know I have a female, and not really looking to forward to this nesting thing...but whatever it takes, lol.
