I thought you guys might enjoy this one:

Yesterday I was feeding my turt and I was shredding a carrot outside for her. (organic small carrot pieces). She has seen me shred one before and give it to her.

Well, the piece of carrot accidently fell in the pond! I was scared she could choke! I ran in the house to get red leaf lettuce (someone was watching her outside) and rinsed it as fast as I could. I was going to distract her with the lettuce as I got the carrot out.

When I went outside, I found out she had tried biting the carrot, then she started shredding it with her toes!!!

She was shredding her own carrot and eating the pieces! Ha Ha!

Well anyway, I did put the lettuce in and she went for it and we got the carrot out.

(Also, please see my other post about her not leaving the pond. Any help would be appreciated!)

Whatever it takes to eat!!! lol I don't shred my turts carrots, I slice them in forths and let them go at them. It's fun to watch them shred and take chunks out of them. Reminds me of why I don't hand feed.
