my water has cycled.....i have the temps under control....and i bought a zoo med 5.0 uvb....now my qestion is is it bad to look into this light it hurts my eyes.....

You shouldn't look into the light. Yes, it can hurt your eyes. That is also why they tell you to put it about 6 or so inches from the basking area, because it can hurt your turts eyes too!

the problem is the bulb come farther out than the hood....and i can't look at it from like five feet away...Image

and yes its the same tank......i bought a 2inch res if that.....so now i have more than 10gal per inch...with my tank being at 26 gallons

what I did is whenever I use UVB light, I put this cardboard beside it(kinda like a presentation display board) beside it, so it doesn't bother my eye. Of course I don't put it so close to the light in case that it may burn the cardboard
