Finally I sorted photobucket account, can anyone tell me how bad Nails' shell is?I think the colour is wrong, and it kinda sticks to your fingers when you pick him up.He is 5,should he be this colour or more green? He has been getting light, and now eats greens not catfood,so I'm hoping he will come right. Here's some pics...

What do you mean the shell sticks to your fingers? A sticky/slimy feel to the shell often means there's a film of bacteria on it that should be wiped off. Have you tried gently cleaning it with a soft towel or brush? It looks like there's some algae on it as well, which you can gently clean off.

At 5 years, it would be unusual for him to be green--the green they had as babies fades as they age.

If that's the color of the shell (not just the pic), it doesn't look very healthy. Are the white areas soft at all? Is there any odor? When was the last time your turtle shed?

Does he have correct lighting (UVB light and heat source) to bask under? What does his diet consist of?

Can you give the shell a cleaning and post a pic of it dry?

BTW, those rocks at the bottom of the tank look awfully sharp/jagged. It would be better to replace them with some smooth river rocks (you don't need to use that many).
