Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Okay I'm not really THAT worried about this, but I was just curious as to whether I should be...

1) You know at the peak height of the turtle's shell it's some sort of line, well sQuirtle's "line" looks scraped (it was like that wen i bought him). When he's in the water it just look likes the line is reflecting from the light, but when he's out it's like actually scraped off, there's no green... is that normal?

2) On his underbelly/plastron, in the middle bottom-ish part, I can see his skin... is this normal or is he like outgrowing his shell or something?

here's pictures of the "scrape"

My turtle had the same scrape line down the ridge of his shell when we first got him, but as he grew it went away. He's a year old now and you can't tell it was even there.

About the plastron, I'm not really sure what you are referring to so maybe someone else will be along to help soon. :)

When my res were smaller they had a seam down the middle. It was a lighter shade and looked more brittle. As the grew, it hardened. The photo is a bit blurry, but that is all I see.
