My turtle doesn't seem to be such a good floater... He is more active in shallow water.

What do you mean by not a good floater? Your turtle shouldn't just float...does he swim? Is he lopsided?

I dunno, the place where i bought them called them floating turtles. He likes to go to the bottom of the water, and chill there. He swims alot less in deeper water, than in shallow water. And a few times i think i saw him swimming a lil lop sided....

If he is a RES they are Water Turtles, and spend a lot of time under the water. My guy likes to swim around, hang out on the bottom, and comes up for air/peeks occasionally. If it's swimming lopsided it may have a respiratory condition.
