Sorry to ask a stupid question. I am new to owning turtles. But I have 4 baby turtles and I cant tell them apart. Is there anything safe I can use to identify them? Just want to keep track of which ones are eating and what.

maybe u could tell by the behavoir like drag ur finger along the tank and see who always follows it they wont always follow it though

The plastron or belly of your little turtles may help you tell them apart. I have 3 little ones, and they all have unique markings that allow me to id them. They may look similar, but I bet you can find enough differences between them. nicole

u could also try by skin color

Don't use paint. Separate them when you are feeding them, that way each turtle has to eat his/her amount at their own pace.
