Hi Jenni. I will make a few suggestions, maybe repeating what other's posted, but the best thing is to read all the info on the main care page and read the stickies at the top of each topic. Feed them once a day, Reptomin pellets (or similar brand), enough to fit into their heads if they were hollow; veggies once a day, like romaine lettuce (suggestions are in the stickies), just a couple of small leaves, a little shredded carrot or small pieces of squash (vitamin A is good for their eye health). Also offer cuttlebone, (peel the hard backing off and place a few chunks into the tank), this is much needed calcium. They sell it in the bird section, or if you can find it, some stores sell the kind with the backing already off, in the reptile section, or order it online. They need a minimum of 10 gallons of water per inch of shell, for each turtle. You'll need a good filter rated at least 2x more than the size of the tank, the higher the rating the cleaner the tank. You'll need a heater set to 78 degrees. You'll need to get a basking dock that both turtles can fit on together and be able to completely dry off on. The basking light needs to be UVA and 10 degrees warmer than the water. They need a UVB light that sits adjacent to the basking area. The lights help with digestion and calcium absorption and D3 production. Read as much as you can, take notes, and look at the photo gallery for ideas. It can be overwhelming at first, but once you get it set up correctly, it's pretty easy to maintain, and your family will really enjoy those little guys! Let us know if there's anything else we can help with. Post some pics of them soon!

Also, if you need suggestions on brands/styles of equipment, read the stickies and posts in that secton, or just ask.
