what does it look like when a turtle is HIBERNATING ? do they move at all ? :D

because one of my friends has a RES about 3 to 4 inch and she said hers never HIBERNATED so what is up with that ?

i dont think captive RES's are supposed to hibernate.its dangerous

Because your turtle is kept in a stable environment there is no need to allow them to hibernate. Like mentioned, it is dangerous to do so, because a captive environment does not allow the required elements for safe hibernating.

ok because all so a nother friend of mine haz a RES and she said that it is HIBERNATING right now so that is why im asking :P

I remember when I first got mine, I was keeping him in a large bucket with no heater... Once the weather got colder, he got really sluggish, and wasn't moving much. We found out that he was getting ready to hibernate.

When wild res hibernate, the go in the deep mud of their pond, and can get oxygen from the water. Usually a captive res is not provided the proper environment to hibernate safely.
