Turtle eggs can be incubated in certain temps to guarantee a certain sex. This method isn't 100%, but it can be done. I don't remember the temps. It's possible that you do know the sexes of your turtles, but I wouldn't count on it. Those internet sites are out there to make a buck and by the time you find out that you have the wrong sex, they aren't going to do anything about it.

Yeah, I had read that about incubating turtle eggs at 85 degrees F (I think) for a female. However, the article I read said something to the effect of the chances are "higher" for a female but not guaranteed.

hmm.. i got my two turtles for 10 buxs . i love em . kinda worried about tehn getting sick , when i was younger i had a paintier turle he lived with my big gold fish i had . he was prolly 3-4 . n never got sick or anything he had a barbie raft for a dock and ate fish food , one day we found him stuck in the filter like he drowed , since then i always wanted another turtle , just worried about them getting sick. but once i get money sandy(1 with the sore ) is going to the vet, then spongebob will go just for a check up
