i have two little turtles (one 3.5 in and the other 2 in.) and am going to kentucky from friday to sunday. should igive them a lot of food on friday and a lot on sunday too?

definantly get a timer.. i am a college student who goes home every weekend leaving her turtle thurs night-sunday night.. i have a timer for my turtle and its been working out nicely for the last 2 years...

also, you mentioned that you have his tank next to a window? this is a bad idea ... direct sunlight can cause the water in his tank to overheat rapidly... i suggest that you move his tank away from the window



yeaa~~ i know direct sunlight is not good
but the window is covered with.. i duno wut u call it
but sunlight barely comes in
and blinds are always on cuz im on the first floor

i would not keep it on if you got a water heater on the bottom or they nice warm/cool water will help them it helps my turtles alot. there only about 1 ich and other one is 3 inch but i got my in north calina they have really small turtles for a lot of money it cost me over $100 bucks to get both turtles and supplies.so i becare where your spending your money beacuse its a lot taking care of res trust me there hard to take care of
