HELP! I have a ??? I have a 3 1/2 yr old female RES that has hmm about the last 4 months started shedding her scutes for the 1st time. Nothing big, and YES I helped cuz it looked like she was having a time of it getting most of them off. But I didnt yank or do anything that would cause harm. Now her whole top shell and bottom are off; but the side scutes that are attached to the bottom shell are just sticking up and have been for a LONG time...I have just picked at a few and some fell off and the ones she is left with are attached like superglue in the middle (and, no, Im not gonna rip em off or anything) Just would like some insite on anything else that would be helpful in get those little buggers off. She basks alot but they wont budge! Helpful tricks or hints would be a blessing! I just wanna help my Tobi girl! :) ( how long normally does it take to shed all scutes?) Thanks in advance! Cam

I'd say wait it out. If she is basking normally, they will come off when they are good and ready.

As long as they are not rubbing against her skin, let them be. They'll come off.....

Thanks guys! I guess I'm a little impatient. Seems like they "bug" her...so you know..."mommy" gets worried! I'll back off and let her do her thing I guess. lol

Also, I dont think they are rubbing on her skin; so all should be okay!

Thanks, Cam
