Beth38, is your turtle digging with her hind legs? A male would have long front claws and a thick tail. Any other behavioral changes?

If she is measuring it right, and it is 7 inches, the digging might be a concern.. if the turt is female, she may have eggs.. beth, has she been trying excessively to get out of the tank? are you sure you are measuring it right? thinking something is 3 inches, and then saying its measured at 7 inches doesnt seem right..

I know I am late, but my turtle digs in the rocks too! I would think he would know by now that there is glass at the bottom, but it doesn't stop him. In the wee hours of the night he starts throwing rocks around making so much noise! But for the most part I thought he was doing that to get my attention. As if to announce he was hungry.
THANKS!

So I guess when Mr. Cortez digs at all times of the night he's not looking for his buried bone like I thought!
