The tadpole's being let go in the spring when it becomes a bullfrog.

What should I be looking for if she does have eggs? I've done a lot of research, but have yet to come across any info on this subject.

Thank you very much for those links. I've only had Duncan and Tessa a couple days and Tessa's already jumpin' into my hand...even though she's bigger then my hand. She's a sweetie. Duncan's still edgy, but i'm sure to keep my distance from him until he's ready for attention.

I'm jealous! Mine still act like they think I'm going to eat them most of the time. Cute names BTW.

Thanks. The names come from Highlander: The series. Loved that show!!!! Tessa's funny. I put my hand in the water, she'll climb on, come out of the tank with no problems. As I walk back to the tank, she gets very excited and want to take a leap into it. I had a rabbit that was the same way, wanted out to play, scratched the hell out of me when he got close to his cage, couldn't wait to get in. I can't wait to get her to a vet to check out her shell. I mentioned earlier about some minor damage. Well today I was holding her and noticed a hole through her shell by her tail, with them not basking, i'm afraid that area may be an easy target for shell rot. They're both missing a claw or two apiece also. Poor babies.

It is sooooo good you rescued them! I bet they will heal nicely in your good care. I also bet they'll start basking soon. I hope my little ones get to the point of swimming into my hand. They will eat from my hand, but I do have to be patient. They are only 7 months old.

I'm going to ask the vet how old these guys are. I'm curious to know.

The kid loves her new turtles and tadpole. Not as much as the Ninento DS, but that's okay, i'll be more then happy to have them back downstairs with me if necessary....lol. I named Duncan and Tessa before Haley could. (I named them because she's not very creative when it comes to naming anything, she named her tadpole Taddy if that tells you anything...lol) I told her that they were named after his two favorite elves that cared for the turtles before being brought to her. My quick thinkin' worked...woo hoo! I'm still workin' on gettin' photos.
