there are pics of the ramp that I made for him. Hopefully this will work. We only have a 10 gallon tank right now but should be able to get a bigger one soon. Thanks everyone for their support. He seem to be doing well. His wounds are healing nicely.

For some reason that link doesn't work for me.

I'm really glad to hear Tank is doing well. Turtle's are very brave aren't they? You're pretty brave too!

Poor little guy. He's lucky you're taking care of him. I wonder why his shell is so lumpy?

All I can say is WOW. I give you a LOT of credit for taking care of this poor little guy. Even after all that he's been thru, he has a sweet happy little face. :)

The ramp looks good too! Has he used it yet?

He has not quite got the hang of climbing on the ramp yet but he seems to enjoy resting his belly on it while still in the water :D! sorry about the link issue. Wasn't quite sure how do do it. Will keep everyone updated as to how he's doing.

He does look like a neat little turtle. Keep us posted on how he adapts.

On the link, I am a techno-dummy! Never occurred to me to copy and paste! I just did what I always do - "point and click".

He's gorgeous :-) and so is the tank set up, my only concern is what you have on the ramp for grip- it looks like some sort of screen in the pictures. If so, you may want something rubbery instead because it will be softer and anything that is metal will rust which won't be good for the water quality.
Tank looks pretty happy to be in such a safe place, what a great job you're doing with him.

Yeah, it is screen and at first I was thinking it's good because his poor little stubs can't get stuck in the holes of the gutter guard and wasn't thinking about it being metal in water. DUH!! Metal rusts! I do have some better rubbery material to try and just hope it stays.

He looks good as does the tank. :) By feet chewed off, do you mean part of the foot or a toe? He looks like he's got a fair amount of it left, at least in the pic---I had imagined actual stumps with nothing on the end at all. Are the other legs like that as well?

It is possible to buy a roll of plastic screen as opposed to metal screen.

most of his back left leg is gone. Just a stump left. The other 3 limbs just have the feet gone. there is still most of the leg left. He gets around pretty good in the water but has a hard time climbing up on the rock to bask. We are having to periodically move him in and out of the water. The ramp isn't working very well. We put rubberized drawer liner on the ramp and rock but he's still not able to get himself up. He's eating very well and seems happy :o
