General Care Discussion :: turtles getting darker?

my two awesome turtles, Spanky and Ninga, are totally healthy. i noticed a couple of weeks ago that Spanky has a piece on his shell that has gone darker. then, a couple of days ago another piece went darker, and today the old lighter tiles started to flake. this is normal isnt it? im not stressed, so sweet.

Maybe they're shedding. Have you seen them shed before? Can you post pictures of his dry shell?

Are the darker scutes ones that recently have shed? What do you mean by flaking?

A pic of the shell when it's dry would be helpful.

all good team, he is shedding, and his new shell is just darker than the rest. all good though. cheers team!!
