im wondering if i could let my terrapins out for a walk lol.
would they be too scared :?:
is it normal too let them out :?:
i have two terrapins, a ybs and a map turtle.
could someone give me some advice :?: :idea: :?:

Lots of people here let the turtles out for walks and to play in the house. If you have other animals around it isn't a great idea. They also can go outside although they can run and climb quite well so keep an eye on them for sure. Be careful if the lawn or carpet has chemicals on it too.

Not unless I'm cleaning their tank or checking their shell or something.

Yup. But this depends solely on the turtle. Some love it, others just want to hide under the first thing they find! If you let your turtle walk out of the tank & he heads for the first hiding place, then you know it is a stressful thing for him. But if you let him walk & he wants to follow you around & climb on you, then that's different & you know it isn't stressing them. I don't let my Sheba out for more than 8 hours at a time before putting her back in her tank.

Also, you will find that it is very hard to "walk" more than one turtle at a time especially outside. They seem to have their own mind about things & don't necessarily walk in "packs" so you would be chasing them down constantly which is a lot of work!
