okay, so I really like kristens dock:

and then I saw this dock:

it kinda looks hard for them to get up to the top level.. Approximately 11" x 9" x 3-1/2". Central opening with ramp is 4-1/2" wide. Upper basking platform measures approximately 9" x 3-1/4". I think its too small

or there is this one:

Karlyn is pushing 6 inches now and she weights 1lb, 6oz and gaining. Im thinking kristens dock is the best to go with, I like the way the second one looks, but its too small. Has anyone used the second or third dock? Zoo med is sinking, and Im not gonna buy a large because Ive been told it supports the same weight as medium. So its either build a platform, or get this ramp.. so has anyone had experience with these docks, and your turts size and weight is close to karlyn? I really wanted to build that other basking area, but that guy used wood which can be very harmful, and I really dont know what to use! Thanks

I would go with kristens dock..the third one looks okay too. The second dock looks like it would be a pain in the cloaca :x for karlyn to get to the upper level :?

I got the same dock the Kristen has and my turtle loves it! He's got lots of room to spred out, and he likes to go uo to the top level and lay with his front legs hanging off the front, so cute! I like it too, it looks neater than the zoomed dock. I saw that other one (the top picture) and thought it looked like it would be awkward for him to use.
Here's the link to the one i got, i got the biggest one.

Hope this helps!

Sheba loves her dock with the side ramp. I bought her the biggest one from the Foster smith website ("extra large"....made for extra PHAT turtles, LOL). When she sits on the "top level" it sags a bit, but she is still out of the water so it still works & she can stretch her legs out (or put a toe in the water).

The ramp-in-the-center dock wouldn't have worked out for Sheba because she would have a hard time getting to the top levels. Plus I would worry about how wide/narrow the ramp is. She's pretty wide, and the opening might be too narrow.

I cant find the extra large! They only have small medium and large on that fosters website... and kristen, does the ramp stick out far? My boyfriend said he thought the ramp that goes in the water sticks out really far... do you know how many inches it is from the glass? Thanks!

I'll have to measure it with a tape measure & get back with you on that. How big is Karlyn's tank?

Maybe I did only order the Large....for some reason I was thinking it was XL....I would call Foster's smith and ask if there is a larger one than just "Large."

Karlyn has a 55 gallon... 12.5 wide, 48 long, 21 high

yes there is a difference between the 1st and second... the first has a ramp on the side and the second has the ramp going through the middle.

thanks kristin, I have to go repo a car right now so Ill be on later!
